                                                                  PESTO PASTA
 THE PASTA SHOWN ABOVE IS PLAIN AND SOME  OF OUR YOUNGER STUDENTS OPT FOR PLAIN, NO MATTER THE TYPE OF PASTA OFFERED. WE REALLY TRY TO GET THE STUDENTS TO STEP OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE,  BUT SOME PREFER PLAIN.

Wednesday, September 25th


                                                  FISH STICKS OR FISH TACO
The Picture above shows a fish taco that is not dressed, most students opt for the  mango salsa and coleslaw topping that really makes the taco yummy.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 24TH


                                                  BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITO
 I hand roll 42 dozen of these and then bake them to a crispy perfection. Most students really like these.
Today I will serve them with roasted squash,  zucchini and corn.

Friday September 20th

                                          BBQ   CHICKEN  SANDWICH

            TODAY IS THE FIRST FAMILY GROUP LUNCH OF THE YEAR.
FAMILY GROUP LUNCHES ARE A GREAT WAY FOR STUDENTS TO GET TO KNOW A DIFFERENT  ADULT OTHER THAN THEIR TEACHERS.
STUDENTS ARE GROUPED TOGETHER WITH STUDENTS IN OTHER GRADES, SO THAT THEY MIGHT GET TO KNOW OTHER STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOL.   THE SPECIALTY SANDWICH VARIES EVERY FAMILY GROUP, BUT PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY, TURKEY AND CHEESE SANDWICHES ARE ALWAYS OFFERED.
ASK YOUR CHILD IF HE MADE ANY NEW FRIENDS  IN HIS/HER FAMILY GROUP.

Thursday September 19th

                                     Veggie lomein and veggie eggrolls will be served today.
Broccoli, onions, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots and snowpeas are stir fried in the lomein noodles.

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH

Cheese Enchiladas are hand rollled and the option of red or green enchilada sauce is available.
The spice is all in the sauce, so even very young students enjoy these enchiladas.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH

                                                              GARLIC  SPAGHETTI

YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING A BREAT MINT FOR YOUR STUDENT TODAY, OR BETTER YET, EAT GARLIC FOR LUNCH YOURSELF !

AS ALWAYS PLAIN PASTA IS OFFERED.

 THE VEGGIE TODAY WILL BE ROASTED BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER.

FARMERS MARKET FRUIT AND VEGGIES ARE AMAZING RIGHT NOW.

           Vegetarian nuggets are always offered. We have a variety of dipping sauces available.

Lots of healthy choices today.
The students get to choose their sandwich toppings.

Wednesday, September 11th

TOMATO SOUP AND GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH
As usual this soup is made from scratch,  its topped with feta cheese.
Yes, it seems too hot outside to have soup, but this is a yummy soup that the kids love.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH

MACARONI AND CHEESE
I make the cheese sauce from scratch and it is really good, plain pasta is also available.
Steamed broccoli will be offered.  We will have farmers market peaches and plums on the fruit bar.
As usual, the salad bar is a busy place and we strive to keep it full and looking good throughout lunch.
                                                     BAKED POTATO BAR
 This is the first choice that your child had today. Sweet potato or regular potato?
Sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, steamed broccoli and/or cheese are the next round of options.
Sour cream, green onions, salsa are the last options.

We have had the best nectarines and plums from the farmers market lately.
