Todays lunch will be served and eaten on the busses for WOW, or here at school for those staying here.
Students have chosen their sandwich preference for WOW lunches.
Unfortunately peanut butter is not available due to allergies, other sandwich options include turkey, cheese, tuna, and hummus veggie.
Other choices are string cheese as well as apple sauce in a pouch, and pretzel/chips.
Snacks for the return trip on the bus will be provided.
Water bottles are stocked in the bus for those students that forgot their own or need an extra.
Paper towels as well as garbage bags are supplied for those that get a bit carsick.
Some students in extremely cold areas will be served hot cocoa.

Wednesday February 5th 2014

                                                                  Chicken drumsticks
These are baked and very good. The chicken is lightly basted with a BBQ sauce that I make from scratch.  I was really disappointed when I last served these to very young students, they seemed confused that there was a bone involved with the chicken, as opposed to processed chicken products.
I think that it is important to allow children to understand that this is meat in its natural form.
