The McGillis Kitchen: Have you ever wondered what your child had for lunch today? Are you ever concerned about the amount of food they get? Do you wonder if it is too much or too little? Are your children offered a variety of things? Do they have the opportunity to eat healthy and nutritious food? Are they challenged to try new things? Are they being inspired to have a healthy relationship with food? These are some of our goals. We would like our lunch program to be part of the healthy growth of your child; both in nourishment and education. We would like their experience with lunch to be positive, where they can learn life long skills of balancing their favorite foods along with nutrient dense fruits and vegetables, which may not be their absolute favorite.
